Begin with Ocean’s Eleven from 2001, then Twelve and Thirteen. Ocean’s Eight is a later spin-off with a different crew and belongs after that run for a straightforward first watch. The 1960 Ocean’s 11 is a separate earlier interpretation.

The pleasure is in performance, planning and the gradual reveal of how a scheme works. The films are often more interested in charm and misdirection than in making the audience solve a fully visible puzzle. Twelve is particularly playful about its own style, which can be either the attraction or the sticking point.
Planning your watchlist
Keep the original modern trilogy together and add Eight as another crew’s adventure. Avoid explanations of the heists before watching; those are best saved for afterward.
