Resident Evil: The Alice Films — Watch Order

Where should you start?

Start with Resident Evil and continue through the six-film Alice storyline in release order. The films develop their own version of the setting rather than directly retelling each game. Familiar game names and imagery should not be used as a guide to the movie sequence.

Our take on the collection

Moviebase editorial

Action, changing environments and an increasingly expansive apocalypse define the run. It is more comfortable with spectacle and reinvention than with tight continuity or survival-horror restraint. That makes it approachable as pulpy action, but a different proposition from expecting a faithful adaptation of the games.

Planning your watchlist

Welcome to Raccoon City is a separate reboot, and the animated films belong to another branch. Keep them outside the Alice checklist to make the scope clear.
