How to Switch from TV Time to Moviebase
Bring a saved TV Time export into Moviebase, connect existing Trakt history, or rebuild your progress after the shutdown.
Bring your history into Moviebase
TV Time shut down on July 15, 2026. Moviebase supports direct imports from saved TV Time ZIP and CSV files. You do not need to move the file through Trakt first.
You need an export you saved earlier. TV Time no longer provides new exports. If the import option is missing, update Moviebase to the current version.
I have a saved TV Time export
- Download Moviebase for iPhone or Android.
- Open Settings → Import data → TV Time.
- Choose your saved ZIP or CSV file and follow the prompts.
- Review the result. Check watched episodes, movies and watchlist entries against a few titles you remember.
Keep your original file. The available data and title matching determine what transfers; an import is not a guarantee that every item will match. Correct missing progress manually after reviewing the result.

I do not have an export
Check your Downloads folder, cloud storage and device backups for a file you previously saved. Also check whether you already moved your history to another tracking service.
Moviebase cannot promise to recover history from an unavailable TV Time account. You can start fresh, add your current shows and mark the episodes or seasons you have already watched. Read about saved TV Time exports.
Make Moviebase yours
Keep upcoming films in your watchlist, track each finished episode and share a movie or show link with friends. Trakt is an optional connection; direct TV Time file import does not require it.
